Description
Ella Cinders is a newspaper strip created 1925 by writer Bill Conselman and artist Charles Plumb.
The story is loosely based on the Cinderella fairy tale. The main characters are Ella Cinders (Cinderella) and her younger brother Blackie. Their father have traveled to China and left them in the care of his second wife, Myrtle "Ma" Cinders (the step mother). In the household there is also Ma Cinders´ two daughters from an earlier marriage, Prissie and Lotta Pill, with the main occupation of making Ella's life miserable.
