Description
Description
Mr Justice is a super hero from MLJ studios (later Archie Comics) that had a run between 1941 and 1943. 1943 was when Archie took over as the main comic and the super hero lines was dropped.
For most of the run the comic was written by Joe Blair and drawn by Sam Cooper.
Mr Justice was originally prince James of England, lured to his death by Scottish rebels in a fictional historic event. The ghost of the slain prince rose and killed his murderers, but was confined to the castle where he had been killed. During WW2 - the time of the production of this comic - the castle was dismantled and shipped to America to protect it from being destroyed by bombing. However the ship was sunk by a submarine, and this liberated the ghost of prince James, who flew the rest of the way to America, where he resumed his corporeal form and took the name mr Justice.
