"For El-ahrairah to cry..."

My image of Hrairoo is not that much different to the one of him depicted in the animated film of Watership Down, but in that he seemed somewhat lacking in "scrawny-ness".<br />
I always imagined him to be extremely thin and boney with these gigantic eyes and ears which don't seem to fit his body at all.<br />
I wanted to show the essence of Fiver's character in this one picture and what better to show that then the scene when the reader/viewer gets to know that he has a sixth sense...and what more constantly stays with the reader/viewer other than the disturbing image of the young buck seeing the "field covered with blood".<br />
"For El-ahrairah to cry..." is a quote taken from the novel when Fiver tells the other rabbits of the dangers in Cowslip's warren. "You're fond of stories, aren't you? I'll tell you one-yes, one for El-ahrairah to cry at." I decided to use this quote other than the typical "The field! It's covered with blood!" one, because I think it's at this point in the story that the audience starts to realise that Fiver is a whole lot more than he seems and he is, as some may say, "blessed by Frith" with a gift that no other holds.<br />
Also the image of El-ahrairah, Prince of Rabbits, crying over the state of the world and his children is a very powerful one which has stayed with me ever since I read the book for the first time.<br />
