Hmm...I've never seen Death Note (sadly enough) but this is adorable! I can't decide if I like the colored version or the original better. You can see more detail in the pencil version, but I like the colors, too.

It's a pretty good show & manga (I saw the show first). The anime is pretty loyal to the original manga, which just makes it better. I know I love it! ^-^ And Matsuda here is one of my favorite characters, even if I love all of the other characters. It's one of the few shows where I love ALL of the characters, even the minor ones, so they must be doing something right.

Watched the trailers....wow, it looks dramatic! And maybe a bit morbid? The power to kill anyone...*shivers* I don't think I'd want that kind of responsiblilty. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

Yes, the animation is VERY dramatic. I've never seen anyone write in a notebook THAT enthusiastically in my life. But that's what's so great about the animation: they turn things as simple as writing in a notebook and talking on a cellphone into artforms. Yeah, the animators weren't messin' around with this show. I'm not gonna spoil anything, since some people HATE spoilers with a fiery passion (I'm NOT one of those people since I kinda look for spoilers and wind up surprised anyway XD ) and I don't know if you're one. *shrug*

But, it is a pretty good show and manga, like I said, and maybe rent the DVDs or something. I think YouTube has some episodes and I know that adultswim.com has the dubbed episodes (which is just as good as the Japanese version, I believe) along with freakin' funny captions to certain clips. You're welcome. ^___^
