It is kind of weird, but it's supposed to be.
What it's about:
A girl named Coraline just moves into a new apartment. Her parents are too preoccupied with work and the neighbors are crazy/annoying. She's TERRIBLY bored and, while exploring, she discovers a strange small door in the living room behind the wallpaper that leads to the unoccupied apartment which resembles her own with slight differences. It turns out to be an Other world that resembles the real world, just its inhabitants have buttons for eyes and are generally better in Coraline's perspective. Later it turns out that this Other world is not as great as it looks, for there's a price for Coraline to stay here: sewing buttons into her eyes. The Other world is controlled by the Other Mother, who most likely doesn't want just "something to love..."
I'm not going to say too much here for risk of spoiling the entire movie, just what was pretty much mentioned/implied in the commercials. It's a pretty good movie. It starts off kind of slow (but you have to remember, it's all to impress Coraline, who is a 10-to-12-year-old girl), but it gets increasingly dark. I love this movie with a passion and it was awesome seeing it in 3-D at the movies. But, that's just me and my mother (she loved it, too). I think it's worth watching. *shrug*
I'm glad you like this pic! ^__^

I KNOW!! We got it on DVD the day it came out (my mom adored that movie, too) and we've watched it, like, 20 times since then! The 3-D's not that great, though. It didn't work very well. *shrug* But, we didn't really meet the required conditions at the time, so maybe it'll work differently for you. Also, we didn't get the bonus disc, but we plan on selling our version so we can get the 2-disc set. IT HAS DELETED SCENES ON IT!! I WANNA SEE 'EM!! D:>
Sorry, this response was obnoxious. I'm still excited about Coraline. ^_^U
