Z-A-D-R - Zim and DANA

In this pic, Zim and Dana are still new to the whole dating scene. This is 2 weeks after Zim finally told Dana he loved her...it had been many long years and Dana was too scared to say anything to him. So they're still weirded out that they're actually together. When Dib found out, he was devastated because he loved Dana since she first came to Earth...he was also upset when he found out that Dana was pretending to like him back and tricking him into saving Zim's life from the Tallest's schemes. He should've learned his mistakes from the Tak scenario. Lol.

I started drawing this WAY back in June while we were in Florida for vacation. I was swimming in the pool when I had this idea. Plus I was doing my own little rp with myself. I had the small (not kiddie!) pool to myself. The beach scene came from my desire to go to the beach. I haven't been there in 7 years! I love Dana's bathing suit, though I'd never wear a two-piece in a bazillion years. I like to joke around and say, "I won't wear one until all of me is beautiful." XD

Self Critique

I absolutely LOVE this pic. It reminds me of a book cover when I look at it. It's not everyday I make a background like that or color the entire page. It was the first time I did a sunset, which came out okay, though it could've been better. It was also the first time I had 2 people pose like that...Zim's arm on Dana...etc. I'm not too fond of Zim's other arm. I reaaallly don't like Dana's head. It's too big in my opinion and I HATE that dip in her head...I missed the line when I outlined it. Zim's head isn't to my liking either...both their heads aren't proportional. Dana's legs are too far apart too. At one point they had feet, but they looked stupid and bye bye feet. You wouldn't believe the number of times I drew and redrew that palm tree. Stupid palm tree. Other than that, I still think this pic is cute and amazing...haha!
