Pluto the Irken

This little guy came to be after I first saw Half-dude’s (http://www.half-dude.deviantart.com/) art, which completely rocks by the way! I felt the incredible urge to draw something afterward and so I did. This was one of my quick, but good sketches that I drew last December. I finally colored it in October (but didn't post it here for some reason oO). Outlining killed some of this pic...I wish I hadn't re-outlined his expression. He didn't look so nervous before.

I have a thing for plots that have Irkens exploring and stuff. I've always loved reading stories like that. I'm considering making one of my own, but not until a majority of my unfinished stories are complete. Out of 48 stories, only 8 are finished since I was 12. It 'tis sad.

I pretty much know what the story will be about when I do write it though. It's going to involve an Irken named Klutz (one of my first OC's) who works in the Irken library. He finds his life rather unappealing and is always lonely since very few visit the library.

One evening while he's putting the last of the books away, one particular book catches his eye. He comes to find that this book is about Pluto and his many adventures while exploring the universe. Klutz had heard of him back when he was in the Academy and knew this book would be an interesting read. As he reads, he is completely immersed in it and is reminded of his time as an Invader. To give away more would spoil it. ;)
