Whosville

I'm not sure, but this might be my first drawing based on a movie. I've had inspiration to draw things from other movies, but nothing usually happens. For some reason, this movie really pulled me in. I have what I call a "mini-obsession" with Horton Hears a Who. I wonder how long it'll last...

I had fun drawing this, and it wasn't too hard either. I didn't use a reference at first (since I wanted to see how close I could get it from memory), but I did after I drew myself. Afterward, my sister asked if I could draw her as a Who too. I wasn't as focused on making it look like her as I was with myself, which is why I had her say what she ended up saying. And I knew Jess would probably say the same thing in real life when she'd see it...and she did, haha! She also said that it looked horrible as herself, but it would be just fine if it were some other Who. XD

Self-Critique

I think it turned out okay for my first ever Whos. I love how I drew my hair, hehe. And Jessica's eyes came out nice too. Mine were fine until I outlined it. I didn't use a reference for coloring, so that's why the face line is black instead of something close to the skin tone. My left arm doesn't seem quite right either. The hand is too small, which makes the other one look kinda' wrong. I don't like Jess' shoes...er the right one anyway. The reason she is so small is because she was sorta' like one of those doodles you put off to the side (or a chibi) who says stuff. She's talking to me and not Who Christina. Lol.

And no, the title is not a typo. ;)
