The Sad Truth of Dib's Hair

I seriously spend way too much time cleaning up text. Sometimes I wonder why I just don't type it. :/

So this was a birthday pic for a friend I've known for a few years on different sites starting with nick.com. She was Jirachi210 if any of you were there then. Of course, I just call her Jill. Some of you may remember the pic I made for her 2 years ago with Membrane.

I still remembered that her favorite character was Dib and Einstein was one of her idols. My sister gave me the idea to dress Dib like him and so I went with it. It's close considering I was doing it from memory. I think he looks like he's from some anime, haha. XD

But yes, without his precious gel, his hair becomes a wild beast lurking in the shadows, ready to terrify you with its uglyness alone. And why isn't it black you ask? He uses so much gel that his hair gets super greasy and darkens in color. XD

Self-Critique

This pic makes me laugh. It's so random and cute. The very fact that Zim is even there is hysterical. I'm happy with how he turned out too. My sister and I agree that this is probably the best I've drawn Zim in his disguise. The techniallities of his position might be off, but I haven't practiced enough for it to be right. I think I should have at least shown his neck thing. If this was a photo, I'd have some photographers on me about the "snap-shot" quality of it. But it's not a photo so ppbbtthh.... XD

Oh, and I like the coloring of this, except for the scanner murdering the sky and Dib's skin. And I just love the bubble shape for Gir's screaming.
