I remember this scene. It was so sad and so touching. Kenshin, separated from his family for so long, finally makes it home. It pains me to think of how sorrowful he looked when making that long journey home. But when he arrived, Kaoru embraced him tightly. It was said that the scar on his left cheek would remain until the day he died. That final scene, when she removes his hair, covering his face, Kaoru realizes that Kenshin's scar is gone.
