Times Change...

Title: Times Change…

The Story:
I’m sure you’ve heard that old saying, a saying pretty much applies to most of the characters in this series. The way I see it, there are two characters that change the most, one of them being Shinobu (drawn here), in the beginning was one of those shy girls, but by the end she’s completely changed inside and out!

My Take:
I recently took a vacation from work, but I promised one of my co-workers that I wouldn’t come back without drawing something. I wanted to try drawing someone I haven’t tried before. Since I recently (finally) finished the Love Hina story (after about 3 years), I decided I’d go in that direction. In a last minute decision, I decided to add the “Mystery Student” that appeared in that spring special.

What I Like Most:
I really like how this pose came out, it’s more or less a pose from one of Aaliyah’s calendars. The background ended up being a last minute decision, and I didn’t spend that much time with it, but it still came out nicely.

What I Dislike Most:
I think I took as much time with her hair alone as I did with the rest of this project, and I’m still not 100% satisfied with it. This background is pretty plain as well, I tried a few things with it, but there really wasn’t anything much that I could do with it. You know the story, I don’t really think I need to address this area this time.

Final Thoughts:
Being that this is Thanksgiving Day, I’ll just say, Happy Thanksgiving to you and all of your families!
