Title: My ‘Hime
The Story:
There really isn’t much of a story to this one…Orihime talking about some other nonsense possibly a TV show, while doing that MAD agent salute from “Inspector Gadget” with her two admirers behind her.
My Take:
I sketched this one in early February, but it somehow vanished off the face of the Earth! Usually I wouldn’t do it over again for a while, but I really liked how this one was going, so I decided I was going to get back to this one right away. I had Kon in there, but I decided to add Chizuru (who provided one of the inspirations for the title) in as well. She and Kon came out ok, but I’m pretty sure not many will be paying attention to them anyway.
What I Like Most:
For a background that only took an hour to do, I think it came out ok…even though one of the windows up front decided not to agree with me. Chizuru came out better than I expected here, and Kon came out pretty decent, but I could have done a little better.
What I Dislike Most:
I don’t really like how this building in front came out…sure it’s at an angle, but it’s still a little to thin for that. For the most part the grass looks pretty decent…for an open field, but for school grounds not that great…I’ll need to mix in some landscaping next time.
Final Thoughts:
This one took longer than I wanted it to, not only did I lose the sketch, I took forever coloring it when it was at that stage. I hope this isn’t going to be a trend that I’ll end up following for the rest of the year.
For those of you that are new to my drawings, I use a different style than you are used to. I have nothing against the original style, but I’m not going to try to be someone that I’m not. I want to have a style of my own.
