i like how the front legs turned out... this was a pretty quick 5 minute drawing at Caronee's house. i added the horrible cast shadow in a weird computer program.

wild_spiritWow I love it! It's very good, especially for just a 5 minute sketch. A few places aren't atonomly correct, but they're barely noticable! Again, it's gorgeous keep it up!

GelarwingI like the foreshortening. It's great, and in five mins, more than I'd take. And I don't see anything wrong with the front hooves.

JuliHmm? interesting. I said in my explanation, I was at my friend Caronee's house and she had a book of horseys. I just drew the picture on the front cover or something.

KomirraIts good yet i find it weird that that horse picture is up on this site like 10 times by different artist. Where did you copy the picture off? I asked someone else and they didn't know. SDo you?

Caroneedon't feel bad Talin. I've been a lot meaner to Juli before. Now I feel guilty.

Talin on August 30, 2004, 7:50:45 AM

TalinWow pretty good for 5 min! Did you make a finished picture out of it? Good proportions, but the nostrils, are too pronounced and too close together.-sorry, but isn't that what we're supposed to do?

CaroneeI think I liked the original a lot better. It wasn't as smudged and I liked the grass on the hooves. But its still very well shaded. I think Juli drew this in less than five mins. Good job Juli!<br />

Juliwell, caronee had a picture of a horse on the cover of a book and i felt like drawing it... well, this is kind of embarassing but my outline for the horse body comes from watchilng the horse drawing tutorial on the special features for the movie Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. hahaha, i was supoosed to be doing history homework at her house but i procrastinated like mad! (doing this and other stuff)

DaBeargood Lord was this drawn from life? excelent muscle tone on the front stems! great movement and the knee and ankle joints look real (5 minutes?) pfttt thats great! the hind quarter neads a little more muscle, but this being a scketch you could easily remmidy that and paint it. Id love to se a beautiful brown and white horse (be like my fathers old horse..Star)you did real well here Juli ;)
