Creatures of the Black Death

Plague and Company, looming on a rooftop near the center of town while they burn the bodies of the dead, church bells going off in the distance and crows soaring through the night sky.

The four creatures on the roof are all directly connected to the Black Death.

Plague, obviously, is the embodiment of the Bubonic Plague. Though he can deal with direct infection of an individual, most often he goes after Plague Doctors to slow them down and prevent them from doing anything other than killing their patients faster.

The Crow on his shoulder is one of many, who are his surveillance cameras. They are his eyes and ears.

The Fearwalker is also just one individual of many others like it. They are parasites that manifest in the corpses of those who died at the hands of the Bubonic Plague. They are the reason people burn the bodies...but that doesn't always mean they get to every single body in time. They are force, the ones who act in Plague's place -since he himself cannot be everywhere at once-. They deal primarily with finding and collecting corpses, storing them in a safe place during gestation.

The Rat is the Carrier, who carries the fleas that transmit the disease. They are capable of getting into homes and other areas the other three cannot.
