First off, school is the most evil thing ever invented by the hand of man. Having said that, I love my printmaking conservatory class. But, to go there, I have to give up (freely!) 2 and a half hours of my day and spend time I could be using to laze it up about the house, at school. And that's exactly why I haven't been uploading so much.
Now, onto the pic. Mister Karl, the print-MASTER *bows*, had us do etchings. That meant scratching into something that looked like an overhead transpearancy, slathering it in ink, and then printing. Fun. And it wouldn't come out any darker! Heh! Still, I like it.
Odd thing -- a girl who sits across from me, and from whom I usually get rather intellegent conversation, asked me why I'd put a "Nazi symbol" on the triplane. I stared at her for a moment, tried not to laugh, then got really really quiet. It never occured to me that people associate the iron cross, symbol of surfers, free spirits, and loyal goobers everywhere, with the Nazis. In my mind, they had always been seperate symbols, held apart by two wars, two mentalities, and generations. But most people don't see that. They only see "German" and "evil". That made me sad.
And no, I don't know why there's a dreidekker (triplane) in the background. Har flies an Albatros.
...I'm not fixing it. ^_^

Yeah, me and my current lack of scholastic obligation, I don't know if that's fortunate or unfortunate, but I've kinda gone dragon-crazy of late. Oh, but wait! I should be commenting on this drawing, right?
Well then, back on-topic... hmmm. Well, new mediums are always cool. I stick with colored pencils because that's what I know, but it's cool to go out and experiment. I think that's part of the reason why I never did well in H.S. art classes, I could never pick one medium and stick with it to develop talent...
Oh wait, I'm still off-topic. Darn it, I don't really have much in the way of comments for this one, so I'll just sign off right now. I've got a dragon to finish....
