Shy Mermaid

A friend of mine likes mermaids and her drawings inspired me to try one - I've not drawn one in ages!

A loooong time later, this is the end result. It took ages to ink, then it took ages to colour, and on the whole I'm a little sick of her now! ^_^; There are some mistakes and some things that need more work (like highlights on the tail - I need to get better with Photoshop before I try that bit again). The fact that there are no beams of light or bubbles in front her is intentional - it may have been more realistic, but it also kinda ruined the picture. ^_^;

She was most definitely a learning curve!
