New Khoste

The new design for my OC Khoste. I meant it as a sort of mockery towards the Irken Empire, a different take on Elite-like warb.

Her uniform differs from that of regular Irkens because she wasn't born within the Empire, rather, Irken DNA was stolen and interwoven with other superior alien DNA by hopeful, resisting scientists on the thought they'd be able to create an easily replicated and loyal troop capable of combating the Empire. At the same time, they'd need a soldier capable of possibly infiltrating Irken bases without rousing suspicion. Imagine! A being stronger than an Irken, with the appearance of an Irken, but faithfully loyal to the resisting side.

Of course, that was their dream, but they failed to take the experiment's psyche into consideration. Not only was their "prototype" a failed trial in the sense of appearance (the brown eyes), but of mental stability. Imagine having the blood of your enemies flow through your veins. Imagine being trained to hate your kind, to kill your own kind. Of course, you're one of them. So that doesn't exempt you from destroying yourself as well.
And the strength they wanted? She's no weakling, but strength isn't inherent to any given being. It has to be built upon by training.

The cuts on her face? Self-mutilation. She can't stand to look at the very face she's been trained to kill, and of course... explosives and war don't help your skin rejuvenate, either.

Guess it was just a pipe dream.
