((The following is an excript from my fanfiction Vacation Or War. I drew this picture after writing the chapter, and I know it dosn't match up fully, but hey, that's the way things go.))

Her nose flared as the smell of decay hit hard, and the poisonous stink of fear intoxicated her. It aggravated Lyra, but Loor mentally clamped down on her, waiting till she was calm. She scanned the room, and saw that it was untouched, almost. The bed was unmade, and the walls were painted deep purple with red stars, a dragon coiled on the wall over the bed’s headboard, it’s scales painted in a metallic black, it’s eyes glowing a sapphire blue. The only form of struggle she could see here was that someone had scratched a message in precursor on one of the dragon’s outstretched wings. Loor slowly got onto the bed, which was very soft, so she could read it.

“Hide and seek... start counting?” He read. She scanned the rest of the dragon for more, and found something on the right flank that made her heart sink. It was signed; Errol. She sat back, and looked down and to the side, closing her eyes. Lyra didn’t retreat from the area, pushing to say that she wanted to see more. Lauren sighed, lifting her lids and suddenly catching sight of something that almost made her sick. There was a hand sticking out from under the bed. And aged hand, doused in blood.

Lauren jumped off of the bed, and grabbed the hand, pulling. She hoped that the attack had been resent, that this person was Teek, and that she was still alive, but in grabbing her had she knew better. It was stone cold, and rigor mortis had set in. She still pulled the body out, and saw Teek’s corpse with the same message that had been carved into the dragon craved into her face, signed by Errol along her neck. This had been done with a very exact knife. The only thing that made it more sickening was that her eyes were still open, and rotting. She pushed the woman’s eyes closed in respect, and left the room, trying not to vomit.

Okay, also, I know that those are NOT the actual precursor symbols from the games. I thought the jagged edges made 'em look a little more creeepy, and I was too lazy to bring my Jak III guide book for the real symbols. Sowwie.

Comment if you want.

(There is a bloody hand in the picture, you just have to look for it.)
