Atina Bakura: Kawaii Shoujo

Just a thought for you all, I dunno if that Japanese is QUITE RIGHT so if you know EXACTLY how to say “cute girl,” let me know. Also, if it’s possible to put Japanese symbols in the title box, let me know as well.

Anyway, point, I discovered one of my favorite artists has a coloring tutorial on her deviantart account, so I decided to attempt some of her tips. I epically failed at it (it’s not getting posted, sorry), so I decided to retry just because I could. I’m slowly learning how to properly shade and her tutorial helped, plus I’m borrowing bits and pieces of her hair coloring style, though mine’s still not as impressive as hers (visit Kathy100’s gallery and you’ll see what I mean when you compare the two XP).

Feel free to let me know what you think has improved or what you think still needs to be improved. If it’s any consolation, the hair (especially the redone lineart at the bottom, though I like the shading/highlighting too) and eyes are my favorite part of this piece.
