For the Ghibli Contest.<br />
When I first started drawing this, I thought "Wow, I can't believe I never did anything from this movie before! It IS the first anime I ever saw and all." <br />
When I got past planning the layout for this, I started with Satsuki and Mei. I tried to be rather close to the animation on this picture, which was really hard, since it is so different from my normal style. I wanted to make it feel more like "me," though, so I colored it similar to my normal way of coloring, unlike the cell-shading of the anime.<br />
It looks so bright and colorful, huh?<br />
Scared me a bit, actually. I've been doing darker things lately, so this was quite a change of pace.<br />
Overall, I rather like it though. It feels good to finally do something for this great movie!

Oh, I loved that movie when I was younger, I thought it was a beautiful movie! ^-^ (I can't really remember much...)You captured the beauty of the animation, though not in motion! And the coloring is magnificent!
