Heh, well, this being as rare a series as it is I'm not sure if there'll be anyone here Who knows anything about the show, But the Anime was based much more on the original book more than Disney ever managed to do (hell, all Disney did was use the names of the characters and wrote up an unrelated storyline). Oh well. Anyway, though the anime remained truer to the book it still took several artistic liberties, one such of which was the use of a boomerang.<br />
The funny thing though was after this series I started noticing how almost any anime character with a similar Feral-child background seems to use a boomerang... kinda got me thinking where did that trend all begin

NightbirdCool it seems Disney does those things a lot often they're better like Aladdin is.

Rurouni_Gemini83Or they're worse like *shudder* Hercules had been. (They royally screwed that one up....It was that movie that originally drove me away from Disney films almost entirely) I even had the chance to see what the film could have been (I think there were some storyboards on display at one point that had been drawn during the time when Walt Disney had still been alive, and they looked a heck of a lot better than what the film turned out looking like). *This is all a personal opinion...pay it no mind if you're a fan of Hercules...*

NightbirdI agree Hercules was way departed from the myth it was based on. I'm a huge Greek mythology fan and I hated it at first since it seemed lame. What I really hated is how Hades plays the part of evil mastermind once again. My lord he never evil just has the job of lord of the underworld.

But I honestly think Disney doesn't ALWAYS suck the good out of stories just sometimes. I actually like Disney's The Little Mermaid better than the Hans Christian Anderson version of it. The HCA version was too religious and kinda a downer for a kids book.

Rurouni_Gemini83That's true, since the book's ending was too sad. (I read the book quite a while after I saw 'The Little Mermaid' and actually cried when the mermaid died). I'll give Disney that much credit, at least. And they also *somewhat* redeemed themselves with 'Mulan'. (They didn't give it the same treatment as they did Hercules (Thank God...) - _ -;;

ketrin1407I hope Kuroku won't mind me mentioning, I've now got a gallery of his Shonen Mowgli artwork at http://pygmalionart.freehosting.net/wild/ajb.htm , featuring some pictures you won't find here. I'm also working on a gallery of his Pyrénée art.

NOTE: Depending on when you read this you may find that a lot of the links from the gallery pages don't work because I'm in the process of rebuilding the surrounding site on a new server. And because this particular host doesn't accept FTP I'm having to reload the files one by one. Whoopee.

ketrin1407Combining drawings and photos can be tricky. In this case the background's come out a little blocky, which hopefully can be fixed in later versions.
