Valentine's Day Cards

 
    these are the homemade cards I made for Valentine's Day to pass out to my friends. (Note to self: Never do that again!) This was a really fun idea I had in my head for a while, so finally I just bought my materials and set to work. It took me two days to finish over thirty cards!?!?!? I can't really tell if my friends liked them or not. *shrugs* They're something for the portfolio at least.
 
So here's what I did:
 
    I cut out thirty pieces of white card stock using an index card, then used said index card to cut out dark pink tissue squares, then light pink tissue squares. I then marked squares on some sheets of watercolor paper and painted thirty different types of colors/blends whatever. Once everything was dry, I cut out some butterfly templates out of index cards and traced the watercolor squares with three different types. Once everything was cut out, I began to glue the tissue pieces to each card stock, then outlined the butterflies in designs using a sharpie. *gasps* This is exactly why I'm never doing this....for free at least. ^^
