From The Sea

Watercolor. This is from the same theme series, mystical/mythical beings, as "Elven Moonlight".

Another that's not finished, and probably won't be for a while (at least not the original watercolor. I may turn it into a digital painting.) because the original is big, 18x24, and I tend to get lost in details. And that's a LOT of detail. So, yeah, not any time soon.

Originally it was supposed to be a painting of a figure I'd done in a few other forms: a 'tree spirit' whose tree-form is a willow. But as I started laying down the color, the watery effects inspired me to shift my original intent. So it transformed from a watercolor of a willow tree spirit to a water spirit or merman (whichever since below the torso isn't visible. )
