A tribute to the great BlackStar!
Soul Eater is a fantastic manga which harbours an immensely loveable collection of characters -- including this guy. It was hard to decide which of the cast to draw first (I hope to draw Soul~DeathTheKid~Maka~Stein etc at some point), but in the end I went BlackStar, and I'm bloody glad I did! Drawing him was great fun!

Yeah I agree, at first he came across as a generic ego-centric side-kick type character. But he very quickly developed into a complete badass! -- then again, all the characters started off with relatively shallow character gimmicks but soon showed their deepness as the story went on. At first I hated Black Star cause of his cocky attitude. But now as the series goes on, I think he is an cool main char.
