Esmeralda

The story of creation this drawing :D :
02.15.07 11.30 p.m. I'm sitting at the kitchen table, while everybody is asleep. I took horrible pen that always makes so many stains and begin to draw. :D I'm too lazy to go to the room and take a pencil to make a sketch...I just draw.

And here's what I came up with.

Seriously...recently I've read Victor Hugo's Notre Dame de Paris and, as I have expected (I love Les Miserables sooo much! :heart:), it was great!!! :)
So I just felt like drawing Esmeralda...Drawing beautiful people (and beautiful girls) is really a great pleasure! :D And btw I always liked that character very much, not only because of her beauty. :)

I didn't use any references, but I feel that her dress reminds somehow Disney's Esmeralda's dress...
maybe it is because I've watched that movie too many times several years before. And haven't seen it for a long time now... I still like it, though they changed the story too much and made it so primitive so every child can understand it. And I don't like it. But the designes of characters are perfect. And I can't say anything against it. :) Maybe only Quasimodo isn't scary enough.
