An older guy in my digital painting class actually bought me a book about drawing dragons... out of the blue. o.O It was kind of weird, but, kind of cool too. It was written/illustrated/about John Howe, whose dragons are flippin' awesome o.o
So, I thought I'd try some of the techniques he mentioned in the book- about using more references and adding more detail. And, this was one of my first sketches. ^_^ It kind of combines my personal cartoony style with a more realistic one... and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I'm definately going to use this style more often.
By the way... Happy Birthday to Me! :D
