This was made as a gift for my friend's birthday/Christmas gift. She is Indian(like India not Native American)so she asked for a similar theme for the designs on their hands called henna tattoos. I thought it was an interesting challenge and it matches well with my style. Lot more dots and if you were with me in real life, you would be able to see the details a lot more. This is on a matte board instead of my 8x11 paper so I had a lot more ground to cover up and a whole bunch of color to add. To get the hair, if you are curious, I just use a four layer(four shades of brown and blend) color pencil technique and then went over in some spots with brown and black markers. The board texture allows the marker to slide and blend into the color pencils instead of just bleeding into the paper so it gives it that antique shine to it. If you have any question or technique, just leave a comment below. :D Thanks for viewing <3

luckylace222;-; Dang, I know what you mean about the quality. Every time I take a picture of my mat boards, I have to photoshop it greatly just to keep its quality. It never is the same. Is that green faded color a result of the bad quality too?

Love the hair detail! I must say, wen watching you go over the hair with the marker, I was impressed by the technique! Marker over colored pencil really looks nice! I should incorporate marker in my mat drawings too. It takes a lot time to get prismacolors/crayola colors to put in the same full effect. -But marker is quite permanent. My FAVORITE part is actually those elongated colorful coffins (with crosses in them) coloring from her right hair strand. They look so shiny. *-* I want one of them for a key chain.

MadamePenguinThat's the elephant on the right bottom. It kind of got cut off when taking the pic.
The green was the most affected as it actually had some blue in it and green highlights...
