Another of my creations from the time I was about ~16teen. This is the other dragon that was used by an industrial band for their album. Unfortunately, I never pre-planned my drawing size, so I ran out of space on the tip of the tail. Your comments are appreciated... :-)

StratadrakeFive years old, eh? I must've missed that, or I'd have taken it into account. Anyway, a lot of people think that birds have reversed knees, but upon close inspection, the 'backwards' joint is actually their heel, and their knee is up very close to the waist, and just about disappears against their pelt of feathers.

MaestroThanks, Stratadrake, I appreciate your professionally formulated criticism. I agree with all that you have mentioned. However, I must say that this was done more than 5 years ago, and I have never studied drawing anywhere - this was my best imagination poured onto paper at the time. If I was to redraw this today, then yes, I would definitely implement all of the corrections you have suggested. I don't know why I gave him the "bird" knees (bending backwards?) - probably 'cause I wanted him to sit lower ..he-he...

Anyhow, thanks a bunch for taking a look and commenting - I appreciate it!

StratadrakeBut anyway (I'm part of site staff; categories are what I do), about the dragon itself. Nice shading, now all it need sis a little work on the physiology. One gripe I find is the wings are too thin, the main 'arm' of the wing needs more muscle to fly with. And where are the dragon's knees?

Stratadrake(notices category) This is a wyvern type dragon, rather than a winged serpent. Winged serpents are litetrally that, serpentlike dragons with a pair of wings and no legs. If it has one pair of legs as well as wings, then it's a wyvern.
