Popeye

In my Drawing and Illustrating class, our assignment is to do a charicature of a famous person, but I thought itd be more interesting to draw Popeye instead, because hes just kickass.

I think that characatures are a good way to learn how to do details of a person, because you spend alot of time working on accenting them and making them stand out, so then making them subtle and normal is a little bit easier, and its really really fun to do

I drew this pic in pencil, then outlined it in pen, scanned it, and colored it in Adobe Photoshop. It kind of looks like my history teacher that winks all the time.

Popeye is copyrighted and licensed by a whole lot of people, who have alot of money and lawyers, so im just gonna say i dont own the character at all, but I made this picture of him.
