here we have Dojyo, he is a Daijo, a species commonly used as slaves to humans.
He used to belong to a kind old man who raised him as his son, after the old man died he was auctioned off to another man who treated him badly. Dojyo lived with him for two years until he was sentanced to death for attacking his master. However, the day of his execution he ws bought by a noble, Foalan Basard (or Fowl bastard as Dojyo calls him) thereby saving his life. He currently lives with Foalan although he doesn't enjoy it despite the fact that Foalan treats him like royalty.
