Here's the story behind this random picture:
The press conference announcing Noodle's return had gone better than expected. It had been far shorter than usual, and not at all tedious. The photo shoot that followed, however, had been a long and warm one, the heat from the bright lamps beating down on the four band members and causing sweat to bead, which led to frequent re-applications of makeup (Murdoc kept complaining about it, saying it make him feel like a girl). They were all glad to some degree when the photographer stepped back from the tripod.
"Alright, that should do it. Thanks for your time." they all gave him sweaty, bleary nods, Noodle dropping her army jacket to the floor, Murdoc discarding his cape, all attempting to get some air inside their sweaty outfits. 2D had gotten so far as to kick off his sneakers when they were called back to attention.
"Sorry, I forgot to take a cover shot... they said to make sure I got one for Hit Parader," the young photographer told them, proceeding to set up his camera again. There was much grumbling from Murdoc but he started across the floor anyway, followed by Russel and 2D (2D still in his socks). Noodle was busy getting a drink from her water bottle, and watched the other three get into place as she hastily gulped down the cold liquid so she could join them. She was surprised to see Murdoc put an arm around each of the other two, especially since he had been especially irritable today. Watching the other two return Murdoc's gesture, Noodle smiled. Everything about the scene looked... right. They looked like a family.
"Oi, get over here, Noodle!" Murdoc called, giving a slightly lopsided grin. Noodle ut the water bottle back down and scurried across the room. She hopped on top of the amp that was left there from when they had taken shots with their instruments and put an arm around 2D's legs. The four looked into the camera and as the flash washed over them, an indescribably good feeling came over Noodle with it... a feeling that quickly turned itself into a word echoing in her head...
