The Fanciful Unicorn

Believe it or not, this was originally intended to consist of the lanky Dee Dee (of “Dexter’s Lab” fame), performing her laughable “Unicorn” dance, hence the title of this piece. However, after gaining some info pertaining to an upcoming local art contest, I decided to scrap the idea, and preserve the title as, more or less, an inside joke. In addition, I’ve also entered this drawing in Fanart Central’s “furries” contest, which interestingly enough, takes place on the same day (April 1st, 2004).<br />

Overall, the framed version has received a decent reaction from the ones I’ve allowed to view it. The only real (amusing) issue seems to be trouble discerning the gender of the character. While some bill it as a female, what with the flowing hair and expressive eye lashes, others see a more masculine side, due to the long tuft of hair hanging from the chin. I thought I once knew, (being the creator) but to tell you the truth, I’m not even sure anymore!
