Climb to Freedom

In my college drawing class we had to draw a the a still life that included a ladder, cage, and other things.  We had to draw a part of the still life and make it into a story.  I chose the ladder and drew a puppet climbing the ladder towards a pair of scissors.  This symbolized freedom because once the puppet reached the scissors he would be able to cut the strings that held him in place.  :)
