"The tragedy fairies 1: Expectations"

Hello, My name is Expectations.<br />
I am a quiet little fairy, one of the youngest of the Tragedies. I have many brothers and sisters, but they all have their own tragic tale to tell.<br />

I was never good enough for my family, I could never really please them, no matter how much I tried.<br />
They got me to do many things; they always said that I had to be the best. It seems I wasn't best at anything. I had played many instruments, all of which I could never play, I went to art classes, but I could not draw. My family tried to get me to exercise, and compete, but I could not run. It was like this for many, many years; my family had almost given up on me. 'She isn’t best at anything…'they would say. I wanted to please them, to show them I could be good at something, and so they took me to the pool. Maybe she will be best at swimming. <br />
The doctors said I had weak lungs, they told me not to go to the pool, but my family wanted me to. They wanted me to be the best. So I went swimming. <br />
But I could not swim.<br />
As I lay at the bottom of the pool, I could hear the voices of my family before I fell asleep.<br />
'I guess she was best at nothing.'<br />
<br />
Since that day, my purpose has been to watch over all of the children who are pushed to be the best, and to show them that you don’t have to be perfect to be loved, for they will always be loved and watched over by me.<br />
