Lohengrin - The Swan Knight

This is Lohengrin, the legendary Swan Knight from the King Arthur and the Parzival tale and, most of all, from Richard Wagner's opera 'Lohengrin'.

This is my new role for the upcoming new musical of my troupe TnS - Tsuki no Senshi, dealing with the tragic life, love and death of the famous fairytale king of Bavaria: Ludwig II.

This new live stage show musical features the story of You Higuri's manga adaption of Ludwig II.'s life. At the age of 16, Ludwig fell in love with opera and most of all with Lohengrin, who impersonates his desire for a pure and noble world he cannot find in his own. Lohengrin becomes the anagram for Ludwig's growing madness - he lets himself be seduced by the white knight and leaves the painful reality of a young and misunderstood king behind, as much as his lover, Richard Hornig, who desperately tries to keep Ludwig's last ties to the world and his lover alive.

That leaves me to play the part of the malicious seducer, of a fairy tale lover, promising all dreams coming true, but instead pulling you down into a maelstrom of desperation. I'm playing decadence, the body of madness.
Damn, I love to act such characters.

Before I started the Kingdom Hearts musicals, I often acted this kind of roles, such as Muraki from Yami no Matsuei. This is my actual role scheme and I'm glad to be back to it after some years.

And the next time, I want to do a macho dandy character But let's see what the future holds.

I had to take photos of Lohengrin in the snow. My interpretation of his (there have never been any coloured pictures of him) is white, silver and grey. He's shining with a cold light, like an angel from afar, beautiful but deadly. I'll do my best to do him justice. I really hope I'll succeed.
