Janos Audron - Peak of innocence

Submitted a little later than I had intended. Here's a pic that could qualify for one of VampireHaven's DA contest's if it were still going on. I got the inspiratoin while rping with her. He was going to be in a carseat but it didn't quite work out that way. lol He's in kind of a nest/crib thingie and that's his blankie he's laying on and looking up at mommy and daddy as if to say "i'm not sleepy" Or maybe they've just changed his diaper and are getting ready to pick him back up. Perhaps they are holding some sort of ceramony for him and he's been lain down so that friends and family of the happy couple can pay their hommage to the future tenth guardian. I leave it up to you to decide what's happening here.<br />

I'm rather happy about how is ears turned out. His right ear was the hardest though. I could have been more elaborate with his nose but every time I tried to do more than the lil button I hated how it came out so I just left that. I HATED his lips at first but once I finished it it came out great. faces are always tough for me so this was awsome. I didn't think until after i'd inked and done a lot of coloring that I should have added his teddy bear. Hehe. Kinda show that he's had that bear since he was a little guy. Kinda cute to think that he might still sleep with it. *chibieyes* I've already drawn him with it, though as an adult. ^.^ I used a picture of a baby I actually know as a refrence. Hehe Ironically enough the photo showed the adorable lil guy laying on my pair of black faerie wings. Though I looked for pictures of baby birds to help me draw his wings. couldn't find any showing them from the front of the fledgling though.. bugger... I'm improving deffinately though I'm still open to concstructive criticism. I won't say I don't need it because I'm improving. It's the constructive criticism that helps me improve. Ty to any who has ever done so for me. You have contributed to the improvement of my work.<br />

So here's Janos as a fledgling. Isn't he adorbale? So wide eyed and new to the world. He has no idea what's ahead of him at this point. He never did lose that innocence in his eyes did he? At least not completely. I'll bet he was such a sweet baby too. Anybody wanna hold the baby? ^.^
