A pleasant surprise

The first meeting of Jedediah and his female saloon-dancer counterpart, Sally (Sal for short ^^).

What's going on is Sal, being a beautiful saloon dancer and all, probably has many admirers and a classic way to tell a lady that you were fond of them was to either go up and tell them straight or to give 'em a kiss on the hand. It seems the unfortunate gentleman behind Jed was approaching her to do just that, so she outstreched her hand in a "let's-get-this-over-with" fashion. Fortunately for her, Jed decided to swoop in when he saw his chance. ^^

It's amusing, I looked up referances for the picture(I recieved no acceptable ones from ANYWHERE, so I had to do it myself) and I found a website with instructions on how to kiss a lady's hand. And what Jed's doing is very brash, because it said you weren't supposed to actually kiss her hand unless you knew the lady already. It said not to do it unless you were "sprezzatura" enough to pull it off. ^~ Obviously (from Sally's expression) he pulled it off. ^~

I;m a bit peeved. Sally was supposed to be beautiful, but I made her look weird. =( I love Jed's expression though, it's a blend of "I'm overwhelmed by your beauty" and "HA! I got here first! TOUCHDOWN!"
