Princess Ailish from the videogame Sudeki.
I've been playing it again rescently, and I have always wanted to do some artwork in tribute to the game.
I chose to draw Princess Ailish first (I hope to do more drawings, including the other seven main characters of the game) because it was her pose that came to me first. I thought it was apropriate for a princess.
I've developed a new style of drawing eyes, and unfortunately, she was my first test subject. Please tell me what you think.
For the coloring, I used a mix of crayons and colored pencils. Often I didn't have the exact color I wanted/needed for the picture, so I spent a lot of time blending colors and layering new colors over them (mostly brown and Tuscan red ^^). How does it look?
Please enjoy the picture. I take constructive criticism and helpful comments. My decision to draw the other characters is going to be based off the response to this one.

One last thing: I prefer comments without faves than faves without comments. PLEASE tell me what you think!

Princess Ailish is (C) to Sudeki.
Sudeki is (C) to Microsoft.

kittyGurl_6CRITIQUE YOU REQUEST AND CRITIQUE YOU SHALL RECEIVE (AT 1 IN THE MORNING)
Something about the eyes are bothering me, she looks almost....cross-eyed to me... I believe it's her left eye that is creating this affect, it is too far into the corner. But other than that I love the new style, it really fits you.
You're getting better at hair, much better. Though like Blaine said, it is a little unnatural. And I know her hair is pretty staight-cut, but it would have looked better if it were just ever so slightly tapered. (making a "v")

but over all, nothing too distracting. Glad to see you drawing more pictures :D inspires me to get off my butt and do something.

OricalcossI understand. The eyes are a bit off, but that was also an issue with the inking. Believe me it looks much better in person. :3
Thanks for the com and the critique. ^^

DementorLOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! I love your new style of eyes, they seem more expressive then before. The colors are magnificent and the background is always amazing. I hope you draw more because you're so talented my love.
Let's see about criticism . . . hmmmmm . . . at first I thought you had two different skin tones on the arms but as I studied more closely I saw that it was some kind of arm band thing so I have nothing really to say. Blaine said it already. ^~
LOVE IT AND DRAW THE OTHERS I WISH TO SEE THEM AGAIN!!!!!!!

Favs ^_^

random_guy2Hey, it's finally up! Like I said, my favorite part is the pose. It looks very natural and realistic. Her eyes turned out well too; she appears very pensive and wistful. Like she's thinking about her knight. I also like the way the colors turned out. When you showed it to me last night, I wasn't sure what medium you used. However, if I had to criticize something, it would be the hair. It seems a little out of place, like it's not really falling naturally. For example, the two strands on the right look like they're coming out of thin air. I don't mean to be a jerk, I'm not very good at critiquing...

All in all, it's a really great picture. I love it.

OricalcossThank you so much! I really appreciate your comment! :3 About the hair, yes it is a bit off, but the reason they're even there is because my hand had a spasm while I was inking it, it was minor enough, so I made it into hair. :p
What do you mean by medium? It makes me think of something, but I don't want to respond without confirming it.
Thank you again. I'm endlessly proud of this, and you make me feel more pride. :3

random_guy2You're welcome! Ah, I hate it when that happens! Oh well, it doesn't look that off. Medium is the material you use when creating art. In this case, colored pencil and crayon. And you should be proud! This is definitely one of (if not the) best pictures you have ever done.

OricalcossHa ha ha I thought that's what medium was. Yeah, a lot of my color crayons couldn't blend to make the correct colors, so I switched to colored pencils. :3
My heart swells at this. It's mos def one for my wall. :3

I'll see how the rest of the public handles the picture tomorrow. But I'm already almost two pictures deep. Only six to go. So why not? :3
