Painting for painting class.

1) Mrs Hogue is gonna complain 'cause it might be kitsche-y.
2) And 'cause I used a photo.
3) I care enough to mention it here, but not much more than that.
4) Maybe I should tone down that blue . . . .

A study in foreshortening, acrylic on canvas.

EDIT: My teacher loves it. O_o

luckylace222I like the use of bright color to shade! Very good work! >;[ I am impatient for when my art teacher will let us work with painting mediums like watercolors, oils, and acrylics. P; Then again, oils are very expensive.

Dark_AlchemistThe proportions are nicely done. I like the lack of blending, just solid blocks of colour. I wish I could do even half as good with paints. However, paints seem to have a great, incurable dislike for me, and I can never get the colours I want. Probably because they dry to look darker. The pens I usually use dry lighter ... I'd also like to express my happiness that this was done using traditional media.

Papercut_DragonThanks! And yeah, for the background I used pthalo blue . . . which is risky, 'cause that color can fail miserably, but it makes SUCH a nice sky-blue color.

sheep_say_baaI think it's beautiful Great job, and the sketchiness gives it character, it defines a style, I would say. XD

xJitsuKeiAcrylic on canvas, eh? Great layering. I don't see any patchy patches and.. gah, I luv that rough, grungy feel.

Awesomish-- luv your works!
