I Love These Two

Last night, I really felt like drawing James and Gallows. These two are actually my favorite pair of friends in the series. I suppose it's because they're total opposites, yet they get along perfectly. I mean, you've got James, who's quiet, fierce, violent, a controller of fire, and antisocial, and then you got Gallows, who's talkative, gentle, nonviolent, a controller of water, and very social.

For the most part, people I've told about these two would assume that James would want to kill Gallows. And he did, when they first met, but as time went on and they grew to know each other, James suddenly gained a deep respect and strange love (not that way people XD) for Gallows. It's not really known why, but it's believed to be because of what Gallows has been through in the past and how he's still able to be happy and smile, whereas James cannot.

Once that happened, James became very protective of Gal, kind of "guarding" him in a way from offenders, both physical and verbally. Not only that, but he stopped getting angry/scowling at Gallows altogether, and will agree with him on almost anything, even if it seems illogical. These two whole-heartedly trust each other, and that's why they're my favorite. :heart:

Anyway, regarding the picture, I was lazy as hell with the background, oh well. XD And I love how the two of them turned out. James looks freakin' adorable! >w<

And, le gasp! Gallows has short hair here! D8

Oh, and can anyone figure out who these two are dressed up as? ^_^ As a hint, the characters are two of my childhood favorites.
