Let''''s play a little game with all my watchers who know me well. Can you name what species this is? If you''''ve known me or browsed through my gallery you would have seen some pictures of these guys later back when they were first thought up.
This is a remake of a really old species of mine, I was watching Anacondas: Search for the Blood Orchid (I think that''''s what it''''s called) And I said to myself I haven''''t drawn one of THESE guys in a while now. Well it was time to rekindle my love for these serpents, and they have now evolved up to a new stage. This, of course being a male (For all you who couldn''''t tell XD) they''''ve grown a bit and this one is a mature boy. He''''s got his lovely armor plates on his head, and the armor plates where the extra frills come in on his body. And a new development for them is the poisonous barbs on the end of their tails. Males generally have 8 barbs, females tend to have 4. These barbs break off when in contact with skin and they pump a lot of poison into the victim causing them to be paralyzed for up to 2 days.
Usually they like to play with their food if they paralyze them. Usually by playing the game of ''''show you what you''''re going to become'''' usually in the way of regergitating bones or something from the meal they last ate which can be pretty ew at times XD For those of you who are thinking these serpents must be the size of an Anaconda your wrong, the largest being around 29-30 foot in length. These guys top that off, they would think of an anaconda as LUNCH rather than ''''oh hey it''''s my relative''''
Because they are so large they usually live around areas where there''''s a lake present. Since their bodies are so big, they can move faster in water than on land at their mature size (For this guy he''''d be over 55'''' long and that''''s a small one) and if they eat a big meal... they''''ll be sleeping it off for a few weeks to a month. Since it takes these guys a long time to digest their meals and they can''''t digest the bones/unwanted items of a kill so when they are done digesting they will regurgitate the bones/unwanted items (AKA Feathers, beaks, etc.) and then they will be on the move again. Usually they come up on land when they need to digest and when it''''s mating season. Just like the Anaconda these guys will only come together during this time and they will form a giant mating ball for competing over the female and see who gets her fist.
And now I''''m going to much into these guys. Sorry about that. But yeah I shall shut up and let you all see if you know what this sucker is XD I dunno... maybe you guys will get a picture if your the first to guess correct, I''''m in a good mood today XD
