Abstract(ish) oil painting. Started off painting from a photo of a red grey on the outside of their cage (hence why there's no feet!), but then I decided to paint the background abstract instead.
When I painted the background, I just thought about how frustrating being in a cage must be. Gave the bird a little blue 'smile' to highlight the way parrots always look happy due to not having mouths.
