Raitekis, God of Earth

This is a breakthrough in my artistic level from late summer in 2005. An uber-cool artist, Cyril Van der Haegen, gave me free lessons on detail and design or characters, from which I came up with this beastly concept of my favorite character, Raitekis. Despite there being no background, I love the hell out of this picture. Maybe I'll add something sometime, but for now, the shadow will suffice. I haven't decided whether he's actually just standing or if he's in mid jump with a wall close behind him, as the shadow would indicate. Any thoughts?
