Skaara

Skaara. I drew him from a photograph on a trading card I have. This is from the movie Stargate, not the TV series, though Alexis Cruz portrayed Skaara in both. This took about 2 days, and I'm still not completely sure about it, the eyes are totally black because I could only see black, it was a very dark picture...Skaara was one of the main heroes in the movie, leading his people against Ra as well as being a shephard for those pesky, fur-covered Mastadges.

In Stargate: SGI Skaara eventually becomes the unwilling host of a Goa'uld named Klorel, setting up what's probably the first Symbiote/Host's Rights Trial in the history of Science Fiction. Who has the greater right, the Host, who was born with his body, but can live with the symbiote, or the Symbiote, who needs the host's body to survive? They never really answered, since the Goa'uld launched an failed sneak attack on the Tribunel and poor Klorel was forcibly removed without a full trial... Hypocrite that I am, I would have said "No, you can't have Skaara, but you can take somebody I don't like..."

Sadly, I read the Jackal-Headed snot Anubis blew up Skaara's homeworld, Abydos, and everyone on it, but there was some confusing stuff about everyone being evolved into some kind of new form and so they did not really die...But I don't understand a word of it.

The trading card said Skaara was 16 years old at the time of the events of the movie, how old he was on the show I don't know...

The card was a Skaara SC-8 Gold Foil Stargate Character Card I bought on Ebay, it might have been a Chase (Special insert) card.
