A Skrilling

The Skrilling are a race of scavengers and carrion-eaters. They're a lot like the Pak'Mara from Babylon 5. The only Skrilling seen onscreen, to my knowledge, was Pote Snitkin, a skiff driver for Jabba the Hutt who was killed by Luke Skywalker at the pit of Carkoon, even though he wasn't attacking...Luke killed a lot of people who weren't a threat, especially when he blew up the sail barge when everyone was hiding belowdeck...Jerk...

Anyway, several Skrilling have appeared in the Star Wars comics, one was even a Jedi.

The word "Skrilling" probably comes from "Skrelling", an old Norse term, it's an insult used to refer to foreigners, similar to the Japanese term "Gaijin".
