Description
Ran_The_Hyena
My original Great Old One. He has a title, The Shrouded One, but without his shrouds it really doesn't make sense. He's usually covered in many layers of orange robes, so nothing of his form can be seen. He's rather benevolent, but his wrath is terrible, enemies are caught by the tentacles from his largest mouth, dragged into his robes, and devoured. He usually resides with his servants in his own palace outside time and space, but sometimes comes into our universe to get something or someone he likes. His appearance (under his robes) would indicate a relationship to Shub-Niggurath. He only has one 'human' limb, a left arm, the rest are hooves and claws.

He is usually accompanied by a young human named Eldwin, who also wears long orange robes (Actually one of his master's robes given him as a sign of approval), but not covering him completely like his master's. He was rescued from a bad situation years ago by The Shrouded One, and follows him everywhere. I doubt I'll draw him, but hes a bit of a cross between Miroku (Young, wears long robes, carries a big metal staff for defense/fighting, {People even mistake him for a priest, but he's not}) and Haku (No, he doesn't look like a woman, I'm referring to his deep, almost fanatical loyalty). This loyalty is returned, and anyone trying to hurt Eldwin would suffer greatly before being allowed to die, if they are allowed to die . . .

He rarely speaks, because he has an awful voice (Voices, actually, he speaks out of all of his mouths), so he prefers to speak telepathically to Eldwin, who then relays the words to others.

The Shrouded One is actually genderless, it's just easier to say "he". I may draw him robed someday.

The Great Old Ones are powerful beings from The Cthulhu Mythos, Cthulhu himself is a Great Old One, in fact. This is one of the few pictures I've done in ink, I hope to do more.

The Great Old Ones, Shub-Niggurath and Cthulhu are copyright H.P. Lovecraft and Arkham Publishing
The Shrouded One and Eldwin are copyright me.
