actually I don't know why everyone loves Link that much... he can't talk. That BOTHERS ME!!! I mean like in Soul Calibur, (I forgot which) Link is a character in one, and everyone in the game says stuff like "are you ready?" and "Wind guide me" before each battle and all Link ever says is "TARIAH!!" and "TULIC!!"

I think his lack of english speech is adorable. I always though, and here's a weird theory, that when he howls an' yells an' such, he's actually speaking Hylian!! Hahah isn't that silly?

yeah maybe he is, but then how come Zelda doesn't do that O.O?

My other crazy explanation, if you care to hear; Ahem, everyone else in Hyrule has converted to English except Link. He's old-fashioned. *laughter* I know it makes no sense but as long as someone's laughing, who cares? HAhah.
