"You want me to kiss it better?"

Heheh... look what happened last Friday - I ended up having relations coming over in the late hours of the afternoon. And what they ended up doing was giving me some late birthday gifts. Here's to what they were -

* An A2 art folder (O_O)
* Two art books, based on caricature drawing and drawing in general
* More drawing pencils
* An A4 sketchbook with thicker paper (my inking pens don't run onto the next sheet anymore!) and an A3 sketchbook to go with it (can't use it because my scanner's too small)
* Some charcoal pencils for deeper shading
* And a mannequin (a posing wooden dummy - works well for anatomy improvements).

So as soon as they left, I decided to test out my new materials. And so it had to be on some more Crash Bandicoot related artwork, mainly as some welcome back giftart for a close friend of mine for when she comes back from her hospital stay.

Must admit, using a mannequin was tricky to pinpoint the exact positions on Crash, especially for the fact that he has no neck. But it was still fun enough to fit on a more manly expression upon him no less. ^^ The charcoal pencils managed to come into play for the shading on his stetoscope, his lab coat, the floor and any other white-ish areas that needed attention.

Either way, we all can do with our furry orange doctors, meep! O.O

(DISCLAIMER: I drew it, but Crash belongs to them lovely people over at Universal Interactive Studios. Go give 'em a donut! ^^)
