I thought I'd tackle a little media irk with this - the way people smile to get attention by the public. It works with popstars and film actors, that's for sure. Chances are, if you're a young male and you flash milky white teeth, you would easily get some strong love from young/teenage/young adult girls. So it's only fair that I stress the importance of teethy smiles with this kind of image.
So by that, our test subject should be a character that flashes their teeth around a fair amount and/or can't stop smiling otherwise. By that, I ended up going for Sparx the Dragonfly from the Spyro series, most notably through his Legend of Spyro incarnation.
It's actually the first time I ever did Sparx properly - the others were minor cameos through group pics as far as I know. And still, I thought it was cool to get him into a joyful enough pose to try and swoon off the company around him.
Even my background work here seemed to be really experimental. Halfway through, my red inking pen COMPLETELY dried up, so I ended up going on to shade the rest of the areas with a light orange, yet it didn't take long for the colors to fade. So in the end, I rolled some of that ink into a tray, covered my fingers (and a paper handkerchief for some of the smaller areas) and provided the glow effect that we have here. A similar procedure was done for the glowing yellows at the "tail section", as he would call it.
Either way, yeah. I'm glad this managed to come through, and I'm sure to keep up the progress with whatever pictures I cough up.
Sparx, like all other Spyro characters, belong to the same company. I know I put down VU Games on two of my previous pics relating to the franchise, but here I just put down Sierra because that's what it said on the game box O.O
