Family's lil' poodle

Description

This is my parents poodle, Minttu. My grandma is very keen on to this fluffy missy and I wanted to cheer her up by giving her this painting.
I couldn't find a decent photo of Minttu so I used some other picture I found from the internet as a reference. ( link to it should be seen below)
I tried to modify the dog looking more like my parent's poodle, but I'm not completely satisfied with the outcome. Granny however, was more than happy, so mission accoplished... I guess.

I definetely need to work on with my painting skills... It was harder than I remembered. T_T

I have a dog who is half poodle. poodles are good dogs.
you should paint more often, then it would be easier for you.... and you did a great job, so we would get to see more of you work if you practice often :) [I'm telling myself the same thing]
I like the idea of using a reference but altering it to like like a specific individual

I used to paint every now and then back in the day. It's been several years since I last painted anything and didn't really draw during that time either. Now I feel like I have so much work to do catching up the lost time. :)

Nice job! I am passionate about dogs! I have a dog named Lilika and in the future I intend to do design it. She is the Cocker race.
